Brown Shipley has bolstered its Edinburgh team with the triple hire of Douglas Noble, Neil Mitchell and Gair Brisbane – all formerly of Barclays.
The trio will focus on growing Brown Shipley’s client base in Scotland.
Noble, who has over 30 years’ experience, had spent the last seven years at Barclays, most recently as a director of private banking. Prior to this he was a director at Adam & Co.
Brisbane, who has relocated, had worked as a private banker in Barclays’ Glasgow office since 2011.
Similarly, Mitchell joined Barclays as a private banker in 2011 through its ‘Embark’ programme, which recruited individuals from industries outside the financial sector. Prior to this, he ran his own winter sports business.
Charles Fotheringham, head of Brown Shipley’s Edinburgh office, told Wealth Manager: ‘We are very pleased that Doug, Neil and Gair are joining Brown Shipley as they will support our next phase of growth.’
The hires follow that of Jenny Purves, who joined the Scotland office from Halifax Bank of Scotland as private client senior manager last October.
