Most problems associated with accessing your account can be caused by your internet service provider (ISP) supplying a cached version of the Citywire website. To resolve these you may wish to check a few settings on your browser:
If using Internet Explorer (IE) on PC, please exit the browser program and exit any instances of Explorer. In your Control Panel (accessed via the start menu, then settings) double-click 'internet options', 'temporary internet files', 'settings' on the general tab, and then make sure that the 'check for newer versions of stored pages' is set to 'every visit to the page'. This should prevent your ISP from caching any pages.
If using an AOL browser, close all but one browser window. Click the settings icon along the top of the AOL application. In the window that opens, choose the 'View Index' tab and click on the 'Browser settings' link. Within the section of the 'General' tab, click on the 'Settings' button and select the 'Every visit to the page' radio button, then 'OK'. Close AOL completely. The changes will take effect when you relaunch AOL.
If you are still experiencing problems logging into Citywire, you could try deleting any Citywire cookies from your temporary internet files. Simply click 'Tools', then 'Internet options' in your browser. On the 'General' tab that appears should be a button to 'Delete cookies'.

Certainly; all they need to do is register a username and password for our service. If you are receiving more than 1 copy of the newsletter, it is because we hold more than 1 account or variation on your email address. Each email newsletter we send out contains an unsubscribe link at the bottom of it, so you should click on the email that is addressed to the email you want removing from our distribution list.
It could be that your email service is not 'wrapping' the links we include in our newsletters, thus splitting the link on to two separate lines. Depending on which email program you are using, you should have an option to accept 'wrapping'. Please remember, you can always access the articles you require via our latest news section.

Yes, but you’ll need to have registered an account with us first. The portfolio tool is available via the ‘my account’ section of the website. Every account is automatically set up with a default portfolio. However, you can set up as many portfolios as you require, so for example you could keep track of your actual holdings along with any additional watch lists you may have.
The portfolio tool allows both share and fund holdings to be tracked, and also enables you to receive alerts when ever we publish content that appears on your watchlist.

New Model Adviser® (NMA) is the first magazine that sees the world from the adviser’s point of view. A large format weekly, NMA enables advisers to speak to each other and to share their experiences of building a client-focused business. That means anything from tips about segmenting your client base to smart ways of reducing your personal indemnity premiums.
NMA is also one of the world’s first magazines to use advanced digital technology that can customise each copy with the news and information that interests each individual reader. All this is supplemented by news and features from the Citywire team and unique platform-by-platform data on where to find the best life and pensions fund managers for your clients.
The big difference with Citywire is that we track the individual fund managers, the people, as well as the funds. We believe that people make a very big difference to your investment returns. This is common sense. In any industry there will be winners and losers, people who reach the top. Our job is to find the winners for our audience. We do this in two ways, rankings and ratings.
We rank fund managers compared with their peers. We look at how well – or badly – they have done to produce league tables over selectable sectors and time periods.
We are also able to look at how much risk managers have taken to produce their returns. A manager who takes lots of risk to produce good returns would be in greater danger of failing to deliver those results in the future. Conversely, a manager who is able to deliver good results without taking too much risk, is perhaps more reliable for the future. We combine our analysis of how risky fund managers are with how well they do compared with their relevant benchmark over a three year period to produce a Citywire Rating.
The very best – fewer than 5% of all UK fund managers - achieve an AAA rating from Citywire.
Further Ratings and Rankings information is available in the Funds section.
Citywire Funds Insider (CFI) is the leading monthly magazine for financial advisers who are actively involved in shaping their clients’ investment decisions. Each month’s edition contains a wide range of news, features and interviews that focus on the leading retail fund managers and the companies they work for, brought to you by Citywire’s award-winning news team. Each edition also features the latest fund manager performance tables for every major fund sector.
CFI is more than just a magazine. Supplements, published with most months’ editions, feature the stimulating and provocative debates from events such as the Citywire Cabinet, where fund managers have to make their case in front of an audience of sceptical advisers. There are also frequent Briefing Notes which focus attention in detail on topics ranging from hedge funds to ethical investing and commercial property.
Citywire's international website edition (Fund selector) provides an essential tool for anyone interested in investing in funds available across Europe.
This invaluable online resource, tracking the performance of over 4,000 fund managers and 10,000 funds is backed up by all the news and features generated by Citywire Fund Selector magazine, which is read by fund selectors and intermediaries across Europe.
