Crispin Odey to launch Swan fund

Crispin Odey is launching a multi asset 'swan' fund for his eponymous investment boutique.

The Odey Swan fund, which launches at the start of March, will give investors a Ucits IV version of Odey's (pictured) flagship long/short strategy.

While the fund has the flexibility to invest across all asset classes, it will aim to deliver an absolute return mainly through developed market equities, where it will take both long and short positions. It can invest up to 20% of the portfolio in emerging markets.

The Dublin-domicled fund will adopt a research-intensive strategy, leveraging off the firm's macro and fundamental research.

It will use the euro as a base currency, with sterling and dollar share classes also on offer.

The fund levies an annual fee of 1% for the institutional share class and 1.5% for the retail share class, with a performance fee of 20% of net gains.
