Etienne Gorgeon, former CIO of fixed income at EDRAM, has joined French boutique Tikehau Investment Management.
He has joined the Paris-based firm, which focuses exclusively on European bonds and credit, as its CIO of open-ended funds and mandates.
His departure from EDRAM follows the announcement earlier this year that the Edmond de Rothschild group were merging their asset management (EDRAM) and investment management (EDRIM) divisions.
Gorgeon joined EDRAM as its head of fixed income in July 2008 and left the firm at the end of November this year.
Speaking to Citywire Global following his appointment, Gorgeon said:
'In my new role I will be helping the firm develop its open-ended fund business and structure. There has been strong growth within the credit market and the idea is to develop our fund range.'
'We are expecting it to be a good year as credit is currently in vogue among many investors and the return potential within high yield is also strong.'
