Natixis Asset Management has hired Yves Maillot from Dutch firm Robeco and named him head of its European equity team.
The new recruit was previously the head of asset allocation and equity investment for Robeco's Paris-based office and in his new role will report to Natixis AM's co-CIO Emmanuel Bourdeix.
Maillot worked for the Dutch firm for almost 15 years and was also its head of fund management.
Prior to joining Robeco in 1998 he worked at Barclays as fund manager in charge of institutional portfolios. He began his career in 1986 with the French group Crédit Commercial de France.
The latest appointment follows the French giant's recent announcement it had bought a US boutique and launched a new dedicated volatility unit.
