Oddo extends reach of star manager's flagship fund

French boutique Oddo Asset Management has announced it has extended the availability of its flagship small and mid cap fund managed by Citywire AAA-rated manager Pascal Riégis to a handful of European countries.
The Oddo Avenir Europe is now registered for sale to investors in Germany, Austria, Italy and Belgium as well as its current trading grounds of France, Switzerland, Spain and the Netherlands.
Over the last five years the Oddo Avenir Europe fund has outperformed strongly, producing returns of 52.7% while its benchmark, MSCI Europe Small Cap, rose just 14.48%.
The firm's head of international sales, Bertrand Levavasseur, said broadening the distribution of the flagship fund is part of Oddo's commitment reinforce extend their presence across Europe.
'The strategy we have adopted is to begin the expansion with our flagship Oddo Avenir Fund and become recognised for its good performance. The next step will be to roll out our other products across these countries in the near future.'
Within the next two years Levavasseur hopes to offer the rest of the group's products, such as Oddo Convertibles and Oddo Generation Europe, in these countries.
