Work for Citywire

We're not like other media companies.

For starters, we're profitable. Where many of our rivals have floundered since the recession, we've flourished, and we've got a tonne of ideas about where to go next. That means we're hiring.

So what is Citywire?

The kind of stuff we do:

We're a financial publishers – no, come back, it's actually really interesting. We produce beautiful magazines, indispensable websites, unmissable events, and a load of other stuff. But most importantly of all we build communities.

Our company was started in 1999 by veteran City journalist Lawrence Lever. It rode the dotcom boom, survived the bust, and has grown rapidly ever since. See a few of our mugshots.

Here are some reasons you should work for us.

We don't hire just anybody – we're very fussy. That means an atmosphere where everyone is valued, and people genuinely enjoy working with each other. Plus: perks!

Perks for everyone

  • Staff discount at our local pubs
  • Top quality showers
  • Fitness trainer
  • Office parties (that aren't rubbish)
  • Evenings and days out (free)
  • Dry cleaning collection (not free)
  • Free fruit!

Perks after probation

  • 25 days holiday (pro-rated in first year)
  • Subsidised gym membership
  • Season ticket loan
  • 3% Christmas bonus (at company's discretion)
  • Ride2Work scheme – cyclists save money

Perks after 2 years

  • Private healthcare
  • Private dental care

  • Extra holiday after 3 years, building to 29 days after 5 years

We're surrounded by nice pubs, sandwich shops and green spaces, located somewhere between Parliament, the Oval and MI6 (we're here), with superb transport links.

What we're looking for.

We're always interested to hear from talented and motivated journalists, salespeople, marketers, investment researchers, software developers, web designers, graphic artists, video editors, or indeed anyone who can prove they'd be an asset to our company.

Getting a job here won't be easy, but if you think you're up to it then email recruitment@citywire.co.uk and tell us what you have to offer.
