Aveva splashes out on Swedish rival Tribon, Autonomy lands an Olympic Games deal plus trading statements from Alliance Unichem, Domnick Hunter and Fayrewood.

* Aveva (AVV) to buy Tribon Solutions for £19 million in cash and shares' sees deal earnings enhancing pre-goodwill in 2006; to launch placing to raise £17.2 million; sees full-year results for enlarged group in line with company expectations.

* Alliance Unichem (AUN) first-quarter in line with expectations; first-quarter sales growth in wholesale unit ahead of expectations; first-quarter trading in retail division excellent; continuing to seek opportunities to expand.

* Domnick Hunter (DKH) says trading in recent months has remained strong but adverse currency movements hit profit and turnover.

* Autonomy (AU.) first-quarter adjusted pre-tax profit $2.692 million vs $2.811 million in previous quarter; in Athens Olympic Games deal; first-quarter adjusted pre-tax profit $2.692 million vs $1.274 million year-on-year.

* Telecity (TCY) raises £8 million via placing at 13p; expects to generate positive cash flow by fourth quarter this year

* Quarto Group (QRT) first-quarter pre-tax profit £319,000 vs £46,000

* Futura Medical (FUM) says clinical development and costs are in line; announces successful pilot stage of FLD500 study; not to exercise option to raise £800,000.

* Fayrewood (FWY) says first-quarter trading is above last year and better than expectations; sees first-half results showing further improvement on first-half 2003.

* Deal Group Media (DGM) says 2004 is seeing strong order book growth; actively seeking to secure growth opportunities; sees Netdetec re-launch boost profits in second half; nine months pre-tax loss £1.8 million vs 12 months loss £1.6 million.

* David S Smith (SMDS) sees results in line.

* Yoomedia (YOO) to raise £7 million via placing at 25p.
