ETFS Physical Silver
The fund is secured against silver itself – which is held in bank vaults in London...

Citywire Selection Verdict: The silver price was rocked twice last year, though this should surprise few as it historically carries more than double the volatility of gold. This is in part due to the many industrial uses for silver, which tie it closely to the strength of the global economy. The silver price started 2011 at $30 an ounce, and by April had risen to near its all-time high of $50, before negative news flow pushed it back nearly 30% in a couple of weeks. It has risen and fallen again since and remains quite tightly bound to the fortunes of the global economy.
