Fund of the Week: Murray International

Under the stewardship of Bruce Stout, Murray International has become a firm favourite for followers of investment trusts.

Stout was in our office this week so Citywire's head of research, Jonathan Miller, has taken the opportunity to look at the trust which features in Citywire Selection, the guide to our best investment ideas.

Returns of over 100% during the last five years, increasing dividend payments and a loyal following, have seen the premium grow to around 9%. The video also features Stout speaking about measures to rein in the trust's premium.

You can keep an eye on this by adding the trust to your watchlist and by visiting our investment trust centre.

9% premium? If that's true, wait until the premium comes back to zero or less. There's no good reason to pay 9% more for than the underlying stock price- to do so would be stupid. Better pickings elsewhere until the price comes into line with the NAV.
