Aegon appoints retail and workplace directors

Life company Aegon has appointed Duncan Jarrett and Angela Seymour Jackson as managing directors of its retail and workplace divisions respectively.

The appointments come as Aegon restructures its business for life after the retail distribution review (RDR). There will be no redundancies as a result of the restructure.

Jarrett (pictured) has been with Aegon for 26 years and will head a team responsible for helping advisers with changes to their business model and grow Aegon’s adviser focussed business.

Seymour Jackson joined Aegon in May 2012 having previously been chief executive of the RAC where she led its sale from Aviva to private equity.

Adrian Grace, Aegon chief executive, said: ‘Looking to next year and beyond, there are tremendous opportunities for a life and pensions provider that aligns itself properly to provide exceptional service to its distribution partners and focuses its efforts on the needs of its customers.

‘I am confident that we now have the best structure, with the very best talent leading the organisation.’

Congrats To Duncan Jarrett one if the few left in the provider world that understands the advisor market inside out - Aegon is lucky to have him.
