Ashcourt Rowan hires business director
by Jun Merrett on Jan 14, 2013 at 10:27
Ashcourt Rowan Asset Management has appointed David Palmer business director.
Palmer was previously the founding chief executive of insurance company Generali's portfolio management business in London.
He will report to Ashcourt Rowan's group chief executive Jonathan Polin and managing director of the asset management arm David Esfandi.
Palmer’s role will be to drive the business's transition process to a new operating platform.
Palmer said the arrival of the retail distribution review (RDR) had given Ashcourt Rowan a great opportunity.
'With the RDR coming into force, there are tremendous opportunities for firms like Ashcourt Rowan which can demonstrate expertise across fund research, portfolio management and financial planning,' he said. 'I’m looking forward to working alongside the rest of the team as we build our business with retail clients and professional intermediaries.'
