At Barclays Wealth he will play an instrumental role in helping the firm with its planned roll-out of the firm's banking proposition later this year.
Meanwhile, Dominic Hunter has transferred from the firm's London office to Edinburgh.
Hunter, who joined Barclays Wealth after five years at Merrill Lynch, has 15 years' investment banking experience.
