CDG hires apprentice for client segmentation job
by Jun Merrett on Nov 15, 2012 at 13:39
Nottingham-based CDG Financial Services has hired an apprentice to help with its client segmentation in the run-up to the retail distribution review.
Daniel Skinner, who recently completed his A levels, has joined the firm on a one-year placement.
Phil Wort (pictured), managing director at CDG, said: ‘We wanted an apprentice because we have a project on in terms of client segmentation, which involves fairly low-level stuff and it would mean someone could help us out, but it also gives them a chance to understand the business and get a feel for what the industry is all about.’
He added: ‘The role involves making sure all client data is in our back office, [identifying] people who aren’t clients anymore and people who may be better-quality clients, so we can analyse and segment our clients accordingly.’
