Chartwell-Financial starts expansion with London opening
by Michelle McGagh on Nov 10, 2009 at 13:23
Cheshire-based Chartwell-Financial has opened a London office, its first move out of the north-west.
The office, based in the City, will be the hub for Chartwell-Financial’s London operations but the administrative base will remain in Altrincham, Cheshire.
The firm, which is not connected to Chartwell Group in Bath, has also recruited an adviser in Scotland and hopes to open an office in Edinburgh in the first quarter of 2010.
Chartwell-Financial chairman Michael Holden said he was confident the firms had ‘the strength on our balance sheet’ to support the growth of the firm.
It plans to add to its team of eight advisers as part of an ‘aggressive recruitment strategy’ said Holden.
The firm said it has seen strong business growth over the past year and moving towards becoming retail distribution review compliant.
Holden said: ‘We are delighted with the progress that has been made over the last twelve months and as a growing business the opening of our London office was a natural progression for us.
