Cofunds director Conway to exit
by Jun Merrett on Jan 23, 2013 at 12:36
Cofunds sales and marketing director Alastair Conway is to leave the business at the end of January.
Conway (pictured) joined Cofunds in January 2008 as sales and marketing director and is leaving to pursue another opportunity within the financial services sector.
Conway would not be drawn on his new job which he will take up in March.
Conway’s exit comes as Cofunds restructures its sales and marketing team. Verona Smith, head of propositions will become marketing director and Andy Coleman, head of investor and wealth distribution, will become investor and wealth distribution director.
Prior to joining Cofunds Conway had been a proposition development consultant at Zurich International and before that head of proposition and commercial development for network Sesame.
Conway said he had enjoyed his five years at the firm during which it had grown assets from £15 billion to £50 billion.
‘When I started the business was perceived as a fund supermarket and now as I leave it is thought as a diverse, multi-faceted business which is a substantial change and any contribution I made to that I am proud of.
‘Occasionally an opportunity comes along and this time I felt it was too good to turn down.'
