by Alex Steger on Apr 06, 2011 at 16:00
Former Skandia head of proposition marketing Colin Jelley has joined St James’s Place.
Jelley will take on the role of divisional director, private clients. He will join the company in May and focus on high net worth clients.
He worked at Skandia for 17 years before leaving in December 2010 having held a number of positions, including head of tax planning.
Jelley said he was looking forward to helping SJP develop the relationships between its partners and their clients.
‘I believe SJP is uniquely positioned to build on the strong relationships its partners have with their clients and I am really looking forward to helping to develop this part of the business,' he said.
‘This is an exciting new opportunity for me to use my skills and knowledge to lead the private client development and extend the range of solutions for both existing and prospective clients. St. James’s Place is a very successful business and a highly-respected brand. I'm delighted to have been invited to join the company.’

Skandia's loss of talent is SJPs gain. Look forward to the folks left at Southampton having to compete with Colins output!

A loss to the IFA community as he was a good resource but he was tied to Skandia before and tied to SJP now so no real change for Colin? He is one of the most talented and genuine people I have met in the industry. I wish him the very best of luck.
