Ex-Cofunds chief exec Brett Williams resurfaces at Insynergy

Former Cofunds chief executive Brett Williams has joined investment group Insynergy as a non-executive director.

Williams (pictured) has taken a stake in the business, and will work alongside Insynergy non-executive chairman and Dragon's Den member James Caan on the company's strategy and direction.

The move brings reunites Williams, former chief executive of the Selestia platform, now renamed Skandia Investment Services, with Spike Hughes, former Skandia Investment Management director and Insynergy founder.

Hughes said: 'Brett has unparalleled experience in building and managing world-class distributor platforms. In guiding the Selestia, Skandia and Cofunds platforms to their market-leading positions, Brett has demonstrated exceptional management skills and a deep understanding of the evolving IFA distribution model.'

Insynergy offers a range of funds and outsources investment management to other groups, including Odey, GAM, Reliance and Kleinwort Benson.

I thought Financial Services was all about building 'long-term' relationships. Mr W seems to change his role annually.

The way I heard it, Skandia weren't exactly sorry to see Mr Williams quit for pastures new. But that's just what I heard ~ for all I know, they may very well have pleaded with him to stay.
