Fidelity poaches Bon as head of global equity

Fidelity has poached Ilario Di Bon from UBS Global Asset Management to serve as head of global equities and lead the expansion of its institutional global equity product range.

Bon was lead manager on a number of global equity portfolios during his time at UBS and previously served as head of global equity research and as head of Japanese equity.

He will join Fidelity in May, reporting to chief investment officer Nicky Richards, who said: ‘I am delighted that we have recruited Ilario.

‘His skills both in research and as a portfolio manager make him ideally suited to take on the responsibility for leading the development of our global equity investment capabilities for clients in Europe and Asia.   

‘Our next step is to build on the range of global and US equity strategies we manage from London.’
