by Michelle Abrego on Jan 20, 2012 at 10:48
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has granted accredited body status to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Pensions Management Institute (PMI).
The organisations will be able to issue statements of professional standing to members and administer IFAs’ continuous professional development records.
The two bodies join six other organisations which have been granted accredited body status by the regulator; the Chartered Insurance Institute, the Institute of Financial Planning, the CFA Society of the UK, the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland and the Institute of Financial Services.
