Lift-Financial’s Whitby earns later life adviser status
by Iain Martin on May 10, 2011 at 13:35
Lift-Financial Group is celebrating a double boost to its team after adviser Stephen Whitby achieved later life adviser accreditation and it recruited chartered financial planner Hannah Creighton.
Edinburgh-based chartered and certified financial planner Whitby (pictured) has gained membership of the Society of Later Life Advisers. He is one of the first advisers in the East of Scotland to secure accreditation from the Financial Skills Partnership as a specialist in working with elderly clients.
He works with Balfour Wealth Management, which was acquired by Lift-Financial in March and will become the restricted advice arm of the Altrincham-headquartered group.
‘I am proud to have achieved the later life adviser accreditation in recognition of not only my qualifications but also my expertise when dealing with what are often emotive financial decisions that older clients and their families face,’ he said.
Chartered Insurance Institute fellow Creighton joined the Altrincham office in April as a senior technical support analyst. She has 10 years of wealth management experience. Lift-Financial also has a London office.
