About Graham Ashby

Born in Pembury in March 1966, Graham Ashby gained a physics degree from Nottingham University. He is a product of Crown Financial Management's graduate trainee programme, where he worked as an investment analyst between 1988 and 1993. He followed this with a year at Friends Provident and got his first fund management role with DWS in 1994. In 2006 he joined Sarasin Chiswell and in 2007 he moved to Credit Suisse Asset Management. Ashby describes himself as a pragmatic bottom-up investor and is currently the head of UK equities at LV= Asset Management. He has been managing funds for over 20 years and is an associate member of the Society of Investment Professionals (ASIP). Away from fund management Ashby is a family man who loves to spend time with his three children. He is a big hockey and skiing fan and has been known to enjoy the odd German beer or two.
