About Paul Reed

Sexagenarian fund manager Paul Reed has over 30 years’ experience in fixed interest investment. Reed joined Aberdeen Asset Management in 1991 having learned his trade during long spells with Friends Provident Life Office, and the Merchant Navy Officers Pension fund, where he was deputy investment manager. Reed manages over £200 million at Aberdeen; including the Ireland-domiciled Aberdeen International High Yield Bond fund for which he adopts a value through credit analysis stock selection style. A graduate of Reigate Grammar School, Kent-born Reed has been a director of Transcapital BV, Dublin City Properties, and Jermyn Investment Company. Away from the world of money management he is an avid horse racing fan and a connoisseur of fine wine.
