M&G has promoted Randeep Somel to co-manager on its £1.2 billion Managed Growth fund after six years working as deputy manager with Citywire Selection pick Graham French (pictured).
After joining the firm as a fund managers’ assistant in 2005, Somel worked his way up to become a dedicated analyst on M&G’s Global Basics fund, the Managed Growth fund and the Vanguard Precious Metals & Mining fund.
In 2010 he was promoted to deputy manager on the M&G Managed Growth Fund and M&G Global Basics Fund , a role he will continue to hold alongside his new position.
The M&G Managed Growth fund, run by Citywire A-rated Graham French, has returned 75.58% compared to the MSCI World’s return of 67.42% with a maximum drawdown of -14.36. It has delivered the 11th best return in its peer group over the last three years.
