Monday Papers: tips and comment
by Phil Cozens on Mar 31, 2008 at 06:51
Comment on crude oil costs, ADSL, DCD Nedia, Cairn Energy and National Grid.
FT Lex Column:
* Crude estimate -- how much will a barrel of crude oil cost a year from now? If you believe in the predictive powers of the futures market, US light sweet crude will be just under $101 a barrel in March 2009
* Infineon's value -- Infineon, its stock down almost 70% from last summer's peak, has a market capitalisation of €3.3 billion. Losses are anticipated again this year. Why is it worth so much?
* Delta/Northwest deal -- Northwest Airlines has reportedly proposed to Delta Air Lines that they both forge ahead with a merger deal, even without first securing the support of their pilots.
Other comment:
* Dongle dangles threat in broadband war (p.3)
* Away from the City noise, radio can restructure (p.21)
* Chromogenex to rejuvenate sales in Canada (p.22)
* Connaught takes shine to Exeter (p.22)
