Advice veteran Thompson answers Clarion’s call to become chairman

Cheshire-based Clarion Wealth Planning has appointed Keith Thompson as a non-executive chairman.

Thompson has been in the financial services sector for over 50 years. He founded Lancashire-based Taylor Knowles Financial Planning and was a founding director at London and Altrincham-based Greystone Financial Services.

At Clarion, Thompson will help oversee discretionary fund manager company Clarion Investment Management.

‘Clarion’s comprehensive approach to financial planning appealed to me,’ he said. ‘Putting their clients’ long-term aims first, they help hard-working business owners articulate and then achieve what they want from life. I am looking forward to supporting the team at Clarion during its latest expansion stage.’

Clarion managing director Ron Walker said the appointment would help the firm improve its offering.

‘During his career he’s been central to the growth of two financial planning firms and his business acumen will be very valuable as we continue to grow,’ he said.

‘Keith’s knowledge and expertise will help us further enhance the service we offer to successful business owners who are seeking to achieve the lifestyles they deserve.’
