Next generation financial planning community NextGen Planners has announced that Charlene Young will be joining its board of directors.
Young is a technical consultant with AJ Bell, having previously worked as a financial planner and paraplanner with IFA firms.
NextGen co-founder and director Adam Carolan said: 'Charlene has been a vocal supporter of all things NextGen from the beginning and brings new and complimentary skills to the board.'
Young joins Carolan, director at Cheshire-based Xentum, and co-founder Rohan Sivajoti, director of Darlington-based Postcard Planning.
In June, NextGen announced that her husband Phil Young, managing partner of consultancy Zero Support, would be joining the board.
Charlene Young said: 'Adam and Rohan have done a fantastic job of highlighting the opportunities and issues faced by NextGen members.
'Having experienced many of them myself, I’m looking forward to helping grow the community, to support brand new entrants and to help bring out those hidden gems in the current membership who will be a driving force of the future of financial planning in the UK.'
NextGen Planners now has over 175 members and has seen over 120 delegates complete the NextGen Foundation Training Program.
The inaugural NextGen Planners Conference is taking place on 30 November at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, and has now sold out.
