Andrew Goodwin - Truly Independent

Position/s available

We are looking for self-employed financial advisers who are dedicated to providing truly independent financial advice in the classic areas of pension, investment, protection and possibly mortgages. We are an expanding company and need advisers in all major cities/regions of the UK.

Qualifications required?

Level four qualifications achieved, however we do seek advisers with higher additional qualifications in certain areas. Higher qualifications may attract higher rewards and other company involvement.

Assets required?

Your clients will be ring-fenced and are your business, hence you will need to be able to source and prospect your own clients. Most of our advisers are involved in other areas of the company such as paraplanning and mentoring.

Employed/self-employed?

Our self-employed advisers pay no fees and our support is paid for on a pay as you go proposition. We support advisers in their everyday activities by making their business more efficient and hence release them to maximise their prospecting time. This way, the rewards are greater.

Why is your firm different?

We believe an IFA can only claim to be truly independent when they are 100% free from influential controls by product providers in areas or funding, ownership, high commissions and corporate hospitality. Truly Independent Limited is committed to maintain the ethos of providing accessible independent financial advice without being adversely governed or influenced by others. Only our regulators will bind us. Only then can clients be certain of the surety of impartiality.

What is your plan for 2013? How does this hire tie into your plans?

Our corporate strategy is to expand to 50 advisers by 2015. These advisers will be ideally spread throughout the UK making Truly Independent accessible to everyone. This will be backed by targeted marketing to find new clients. In part, this UK coverage is supported by our Find a Truly Adviser client resource on our website due to launch in January.
