Aviva’s director of corporate benefits quits after restructure

Aviva's managing director of corporate benefits Graham Boffey has left the company as part of a restructure which will bring together its corporate benefits and health divisions.

Boffey has been at Aviva since 2002 in various roles including Aviva Life's distribution director. He was appointed managing director of corporate benefits in March.

He resigned from the role at the beginning of December.

Mark Noble, the managing director of Aviva's health business has taken over Boffey's role, becoming managing director of corporate benefits and health.

An Aviva spokeswoman said: 'Aviva decided to put the health and corporate businesses together in discussion with Graham who decided it was the right time to leave.'

In October, Aviva poached Standard Life's head of pension policy John Lawson as its head of policy for corporate benefits. Lawson will start with Aviva in January 2013 and was intended to report to Boffey.

In November, the life company was reported to cut 120 jobs from its claims management business Asprea on its way to hitting its £400 million cost savings target. This follow Aviva's announcement in August that it would cut 800 jobs across the UK as a result of its savings target.

Aviva also ended its six month search for a boss in November and appointed Mark Wilson as its chief executive officer following Andrew Moss' departure in May after shareholder pressure over his pay.
