Barclays is dropping the 'Wealth' tag from its advice arm as part of a rebranding of the business, according to the Daily Mail.
The change comes as part of a wider rebranding that will bring all its divisions under one banner. Investment banking arm Barclays Capital and business banking division Barclays Corporate will be known simply as Barclays under the changes.
Barclays shelved its mass market advice arm Barclays Financial Planning in 2011, deeming that offering financial advice through retail branches was no longer viable.
Earlier that year it was fined £7.7 million by the Financial Services Authority for failures over the sale of two Aviva funds.
