Clive Woodward: How to live in a no 'if only' environment

In the third of our series of video interviews, former England Rugby coach Clive Woodward, explains how even the leaders of small firms can take time to work on developing their firm further, and has advice for firms deciding on whether to take a risk on innovation.

'The secret to it, and it is very hard to do, is just find that 5% or 10% of your time to work on the business, to step back, find that two or three hours a week or one morning a week, and just really evaluate what is going on in that business,' Woodward said. 'Look at what your competitors are doing, doing a bit of study a bit of work.'

Woodward added that especially with new technology, firms must be aware of developments even if they are not at the leading edge of innovation.
