Access the profile page in the My Account section to change the email address we have registered for you as well as any other changes. Click update to confirm any changes.

Technical problems

It could be that your email service is not 'wrapping' the links we include in our newsletters, thus splitting the link on to two separate lines. Depending on which email program you are using, you should have an option to accept 'wrapping'.

If you require any further help please feel free to contact support@citywire.co.uk.

This is because we hold more than one account or email address for you. Each email newsletter we send out contains an unsubscribe link at the bottom of it, so you should click on the email that goes to the address you want removing from our distribution list.

Many web browsers use a technique called caching to speed things up - rather than downloading a new copy of a website every time you visit it, certain elements are stored locally on your computer.

You can often resolve these issues by forcing your browser to download a fresh copy by holding the Shift key while clicking the Reload button (usually to one side of the address bar at the top).

If that doesn't work, try these steps (note - there are many different versions of all these browsers and wording may not be exactly as it is here! Your mileage may vary):

In Internet Explorer browsers, choose Tools > Internet Options > General > Browsing history > Settings > change the 'Check for newer versions of stored pages' to 'Every time'.

In Mozilla or Firefox browsers, choose Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > change the Offline Storage cache size to 0 (zero).

In Google Chrome browsers, choose Tools > Options > Under the Bonnet > click Clear browsing data.

In Safari browsers, choose Preferences > Advanced > Show Develop Menu > click Develop > click Disable Caches.

In Opera browsers, choose Tools > Preferences > Advanced > History > click on the Disk Cache dropdown > Select off.

Commenting

Comments on stories are right at the heart  of the New Model Adviser community. It's your space, so please do dive in and make it your own.

You need to be registered and signed in to  post comments on the site. If you're already registered with us, then the first time you post a comment we'll ask you to choose the name you want displayed next to it.

When you first post a comment you’ll be asked to pick a name which other users will see against your posts. The choice of name is up to you, but it needs to be unique – and decent of course! Please also take care not to impersonate others.

However, it doesn't need to be the same as your username/email that you sign into the site with.

Contact support@citywire.co.uk if you have any questions or need to change your display name.

There are often good reasons you might need to post anonymously - perhaps you're a whistleblower within a company or government body and you value your career, or maybe you've been the victim of a scam and want to alert others without identifying yourself.

With that in mind, if you need to post anonymously click the option labelled I need to post 'off the record'. Bear in mind that we can still see who you are, even if your fellow users can't! (Of course, that information stays with us - not just because it's data protection law, but because we're not evil.)

Please don't abuse the facility. We reserve the right to remove any post without notice, especially if it violates our terms and conditions.

Please be nice; nothing abusive, vulgar, obscene, harassing, threatening, hateful, fraudulent, defamatory, sexually explicit, or unlawful. We expect Citywire users to behave respectfully to each other.

Comments are for private use only and not for commercial use. Users are responsible for ensuring that any information or views expressed do not breach copyright, are not libellous or offensive and do not constitute infringement of insider dealing regulations or confidentiality agreements.

We hate spam as much as you do. Please don't . See our terms and conditions for further information.

Each comment has a 'Report this' button next to it. If you think a moderator needs to step in, click it.

Any Citywire user will be able to read your comments, whether logged in or not. We reserve the right to re-publish comments in our magazine publications or in promotional material. Any anonymous posts will remain anonymous in any re-publishing of comments.

Citywire reserves the right delete comments if they are deemed to break our terms and conditions.

I'm still stuck!

Simple, just email us at support@citywire.co.uk or telephone us during office hours on 020 7840 5100 and we'll do our best to help you out.
