London-based advice firm John Lamb will launch its managed portfolios to a wider audience through a newly created wealth management arm.
The firm will offer client the opportunity to access portfolios managed by Purple Strategic Capital directly as well as through a John Lamb financial planner.
‘John Lamb Wealth Management is now able to offer an institutional grade investment proposition to go alongside the continued planning expertise and client service that John Lamb has always been known for,’ said Crispin Homer (pictured), investment director at John Lamb Wealth Management.
‘We are now looking to build this capability and organically grow our client base whilst maintaining the excellence of advice.’
Services are delivered through a range of in-house personal portfolios specific to John Lamb Wealth Management clients, powered by Purple Strategic Capital. Despite being a relatively new name in the market, the specialist portfolio manager has over £3.5 billion in assets under management.
John Lamb selected Purple Strategic Capital as its outsourcing partner in May 2016.
'They are not afraid to go against conventional wisdom and manage our portfolios with a flexible approach and wide boundaries. This means they can make big swings in how much is invested in each area of the portfolio, which we see as a huge benefit,’ Homer told New Model Adviser® last year.
John Lamb managing director Paula Steele commented: 'We have been running this service for our existing clients for many years and we see this launch of a dedicated business as a natural extension of our award-winning services to a wider audience.'
