Graduating from Bournemouth University with a degree in financial services, Lucy Mills spent the past six years working with London-based IFA firms City Asset Management, Timothy James & Partners, and MPL Wealth Management.
Mills started at Plutus on 27 June.
‘It’s important to have a highly talented, qualified and experienced support team,’ Plutus Wealth partner Georgina Partridge (pictured) said. ‘In turn, this enables us to provide an excellent service for our clients. We are delighted to have Lucy join the team.’
Mills currently holds a diploma in financial planning and is studying the level six advanced diploma in financial planning to gain chartered status.
Mills is the second paraplanner at the firm, joining Emma Keigan and one other administrator at Plutus, Kiram Bhaker. The firm has nine advisers, growing from six co-founders.
The firm moved office in 2011 ahead of a recruitment drive and a move into the corporate benefits market.
Patridge said the firm’s next hire was likely to be on the advice side, but they may look at whether or not to hire another paraplanner later this year.
‘We are interviewing for advisers at the moment,’ Partridge said. ‘We may well look at paraplanners again towards the end of the year.’
