Openwork secures Schroders trio to replace Francis on Omnis

Restricted network Openwork has appointed Schroders fund managers Andy Brough, Sue Noffke, and Jessica Ground to run its Omnis Equity income mandate, following the Errol Francis’ move to Old Mutual Global Investors.

Openwork put the mandate, which makes up part of its distributor influenced fund range Omnis, under review in March after Francis followed star manager Richard Buxton from Schroders to Old Mutual.

The mandate will now be run by Citywire A rated Andy Brough, who runs six funds including the Schroders UK Mid 250 fund, Sue Noffke and Jessica Ground who both run the Schroders UK Core and Schroders Prime UK Equity funds.

Philip Martin (pictured), proposition and marketing director at Openwork, said: 'Schroders has one of the most respected UK equity teams in the industry and we are very pleased that Andy, Sue and Jessica will be taking over the Omnis UK Equity Fund mandate.

'Manager changes can be problematic for advisers but the Omnis structure allows us to make appropriate and timely governance decisions on their behalf with minimal or no disruption to their clients.’

The Omnis range initially launched in February with the UK equities fund managed by Schroders, an emerging markets equity fund run by Jupiter and a US equities fund run by The Boston Compnay, part of BNY Mellon. This was in addition to single strategy funds managed by Threadneedle and multi-manager funds managed by Octopus.

The network then added a UK fixed interest fund managed by Threadneedle, an international equities fund managed by Thomas White International, a global fixed interest fund managed by Schroders and an alternative strategies fund managed by Octopus.
