Richard Allum's outsourced paraplanning firm ParaPlanPlus has rebranded as The Paraplanners in order to distinguish itself from his cashflow planning tool business Moneyscope.
Allum (pictured) said the rebrand followed a 12 month programme of investment, including the recruitment of paraplanner Kim Bendall and Kat Mock, and the launch of an administrative support service for advice practices led by Gemma Dennis.
Moneyscope launched in 2010 and has been running alongside the outsourced paraplanning business as part of ParaPlanPlus, which will remain the parent business.
He said the plan was to keep developing the paraplanning business with fresh announcements possible for the beginning of next year.
Allum said: 'Both The Paraplanners and Moneyscope services help people make more sense of money just in different ways. The Paraplanners service allows advice practices to take advantage of plug-in paraplanning services that work side-by-side with their advisers to support their client advice process, whereas Moneyscope provides advisers and their clients with a straightforward way to calculate lifetime cash flow as part of the financial planning process.'
ParaPlanPlus remains the parent business of both services. The name change brings the firm in line with Allum's paraplanner directory and forum website called theparaplanner.com.
