Plutus founder trains for ‘toughest race on earth’

Mark Croxford, founding partner of London-based Plutus Wealth Management, is to embark on the ‘toughest footrace on earth’ when he takes on the 150-mile Marathon des Sables in the Sahara desert this April.

Croxford (pictured) said he planned to raise around £10,000 to donate to charities the Evening Standard Dispossessed Fund and the Ronald McDonald House in New Zealand.

He has only run one marathon before, in New York, but said that once he completes the gruelling six-day race, he would never have to do another one.

‘I’m doing this to rebuke anyone who ever asks me to do a marathon again,’ he said.
