Outgoing St James's Place (SJP) chief executive David Bellamy has been appointed chairman of Weatherbys Bank.
In February, SJP announced Bellamy would relinquish the reins of the restricted national wealth management firm at the end of 2017, to be replaced by current chief financial officer Andrew Croft.
Weatherbys chief executive Roger Weatherby said: '[Bellamy's] track record at St. James’s Place speaks volumes for his ability, where, over the course of 11 years as chief executive, funds under management more than quadrupled to over £85 billion.'
SJP announced net inflows of £3.6 billion for the third quarter of 2017, with group total funds hitting £85.7 billion.
Bellamy will replace Johnny Weatherby as chairman of the family bank. Weatherby has been at the helm for 23 years, and will continue as a non-executive director.
Bellamy said: 'Its heritage, track record and exceptional client focus provides the perfect platform for its future aspirations and I very much look forward to working with Roger, Johnny and the entire team at Weatherbys through the next phase of the Bank’s growth.'
