Succession chief Simon Chamberlain dies, aged 51

[UPDATED 23 March] Succession chief executive Simon Chamberlain has died, aged 51.

New Model Adviser® understands Chamberlain died of a heart attack. 

In a statement, Succession said: 'Succession is sad to announce the sudden death of its founder and group chief executive, Simon Chamberlain, who died earlier today.

'Our thoughts and concerns are with his wife Helen and children Charlotte, Henry and Olivia at this difficult time.'

Succession will continue to be led by its management team, headed by chairman Ray Pierce.

Chamberlain set up Succession in 2009. 

Before that he was a founding partner of St James's Place Capital, a former development and recruitment Director for Zurich in the UK and was the founder of the Thinc Group which became Bluefin.

Update: the funeral will be held on Tuesday 28 March near his home in Cornwall.
