Succession signs up £120m SJP firm

IFA consolidator Succession has recruited a firm with £120 million in assets under advice from upmarket salesforce St James’s Place.

Belfast-based CBS Astor Buller has moved from SJP to Succession and will become the company's Northern Ireland 'hub' which it plans to grow through further acquisitions.

Simon Chamberlain, Succession chief executive (pictured), said advisory firms planning to grow needed to look beyond a traditional network.

'Regulatory and competitive pressures requires a new approach whether to build scale, develop compelling client propositions, or create sustainability and profitability. Traditional distribution networks, with a one size fits all strategy, are failing to meet the diverse and complex needs of ambitious business owners.'
