Wealth managers Atkinson Bolton Consulting in Newmarket held a seminar for clients and professional connections earlier this month, which included talks from three high profile fund managers.
Attendees at the seminar, which was held in Newmarket’s Jockey Club, heard Jupiter UK Growth (Jupiter UK Growth) manager Ian McVeigh, Standard Life property manager Barry MacLennan and Invesco Perpetual’s Latin American (INVESCO PERPETUAL Latin American Acc) manager Dean Newman all give their views on their various areas of investment expertise.
Atkinson Bolton holds several seminars a year for clients and professional connections and pinpoints top class fund managers to talk. ‘The aim is to educate and inform our clients,’ said co-director Simon Gibson.
Last month’s seminar included topics such as asset allocation, performance, plus what has happened in the UK stockmarket, the property market and in Latin America since market volatility began in May.
Atkinson Bolton is looking at shifting some of the UK portion of client portfolios away from income towards growth funds, a view backed up by Citywire AA-rated McVeigh, who told the seminar that we could start to see a move away from value towards growth stocks.
