Prestwood offers free seminar seats to advisers
by Richard Harris on Aug 20, 2008 at 13:35
Financial planning software company Prestwood Group is offering 50 free places to a seminar on offering ‘joined up’ advice to mark the inaugural Financial Planning Week next month.
The full day seminars will be held throughout the week, which will run from 8-12 September and is being organised by the Institute of Financial Planning (IFP), at Prestwood’s headquarters near Birmingham.
Paul Etheridge, founder and chairman of Prestwood, said the seminars had helped hundreds of advisers move to a more profitable financial planning model.
‘They show how advisers can take the focus off products and investments and move it on to the things that matter most – helping clients to identify, achieve and maintain their desired lifestyle,’ said Etheridge, who also founded the IFP.
Paul Armson (pictured), who semi-retired from Surrey-based IFA Falcon Financial Planning to split his time between sailing, training fellow IFAs and promoting Prestwood’s entry-level Truth software, will host the seminars.
Former New Model Adviser® cover stars Alan Smith of Capital Asset Management and Tim Brear of Brook-Dobson Brear were among Armson’s satisfied customers. Smith described the seminar as the ‘best presentation I’ve been to in years’ while Brear said he had had a ‘great response’ from adapting Armson’s approach.
