Project Eve rebrands as The Life Planning Foundation

Project Eve is to be renamed The Life Planning Foundation and will promote life planning in the UK as a charity, following a meeting held at a recent Kinder Institute graduation event.

Earlier this month 40 advisers became registered with the Kinder Institute of Financial Planning at an event held at the Institute of Directors (IoD) in London.

Prior to the event, a meeting of life planners, including the founders of Project Eve, the group of advisers promoting life planning to the general public, discussed ways to build the profile of life planning in the UK.

It was decided Project Eve would promote the life planning disciplines of George Kinder, Maria Nemeth and Bill Bachrach as a charity.

Separately, a group including Nigel Barker Smith, director of NBS Financial Planning, and Chris Mellor, director of Inspired Financial Life Planning, will lead promotion of the Kinder Institute following the graduation of the ‘most enthusiastic’ group yet of registered life planners.

‘The first two graduation groups founded Project Eve but the second two have been really forthright,’ said Mellor, who was part of the second group of graduates.

‘They have a great passion to keep the momentum going. So we will see more form them in the future.’

Barker Smith (pictured) added: ‘I think with the graduates this time we have got a situation where everyone thinks the same. This group is very customer focused. So we have bigger numbers now and there was optimism. The common theme was that they were all big believers in financial planning.’

Just to be clear the objective is

"To educate consumers about life and financial planning (irrespective of financial status)"

Why?

To help align consumers understanding of bringing clarity to goals and objectives, before making financial products and planning decisions.

This moment in time is a wonderful opportunity to overturn the way things have passed for financial advice in the past.
