Sanlam UK sells 22% stake in Punter Southall
by Rachael Revesz on Feb 06, 2013 at 15:01
Sanlam UK has sold its 22% stake in the Punter Southall Group.
Sanlam said it had sold the stake in order to focus on wealth management.
'Our mission in the UK is to build a market leading retail wealth management business,’ said Sanlam UK chairman Johan van der Merwe. ‘The policy of the group is that we concentrate purely on the pursuit of that goal; that we deploy capital in strategic, focused opportunities and dispose of non-strategic investment.’
