Scottish Life courts IFAs with auto-enrolment service
by William Robins on Dec 03, 2012 at 08:13
Product provider Scottish Life has launched an auto-enrolment proposition aimed at advisers who plan to work with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The life company has also called on the Financial Services Authority (FSA) to regulate corporate advice as a means of settling the ongoing debate over whether charges could be taken from employee contributions.
The auto-enrolment proposition is aimed at firms with 500 employees or less and will support a range of pension schemes, including the National Employment Savings Trust.
Business development manager Jamie Clark said Scottish Life recognised the importance of small firms receiving advice and wanted to help connect employers and advisers.
‘In the SME market, employers will need advice… [our offering] will connect advisers with members, providing them with a service that justifies their fee, providing reports to members on charges, performance and so on,’ he said.
