SimplyBiz teams up with IFDL to launch platform

SimplyBiz has launched a platform to be powered by Investment Funds Direct Limited (IFDL).

IFDL, the holding company for wrap Ascentric, will power SimplyBiz’s Verbatim Product Centre platform.

The Verbatim Product Centre, which is due to be launched in December to a number of SimplyBiz member firms will provide front office and trading capability.

The platform will provide access to a range of tax wrappers including a general investment account, ISA and Sipp with additional wrappers due to be added in 2013.

Rob Beverley, institutional sales director at IFDL, said: 'This is an important announcement for IFDL and follows many months of collaborative thought and development in readiness for the new landscape next year.'

Neil Stevens, managing director of SimplyBiz and Verbatim Asset Management (pictured), said: 'Adviser charging poses many challenges and so we are recruiting new teams and capabilities; whether it’s collective funds, discretionary management, platform, wrap or insured products we’ve lined up the best of the industry to work in new ways that ensure the adviser is the only one constant in the client’s mind.’

Yet another thing for Simply Biz to relentlessly ram down our throats on a selling spree.

I have now waited three weeks for a reply from Compliance and SB still haven't confirmed if they will still be supporting me with Compliance post RDR if I choose restricted, the case checks have never hit a turnaround deadline since I've used them but at least we've got now got a platform! Talk about the stable door! Time they concentrated on being good at what they are supposed to do rather than trying to increase their income all the time.
