Skandia unveils mandates for Select funds

Skandia has unveiled the mandates for its much-trailed Select funds.

In November 2012 Skandia named the fund groups it had partnered with to launch the proposition and has now revealed which managers will get which mandate.

The funds will be launched in tranches over the next few months and will sit alongside a number of existing Old Mutual Global Investors funds including its UK Equity, UK Mid cap, UK Smaller Companies, UK Equity Income, Global Strategic Bond, North American Equity, Japanese Equity and Global Equity Absolute Return funds.

Skandia is finalising the full range, name and pricing structure for the new proposition before its launch later this year.

James Millard, director of investments at Old Mutual Wealth said: ‘Our objective is to offer a desirable proposition at a very competitive price, making it a great choice for advisers whether they build portfolios for their clients in-house or wish to utilise our new managed portfolio service

The funds are intended to replicate the investment strategies of the retail funds and the underlying external funds have a combined figure of £51 billion under management.
