Standard secures super clean share classes from 15 fund groups
by Jun Merrett on Jul 02, 2013 at 10:38
Standard Life has secured super clean share classes from 15 fund groups.
The super clean share classes with no rebate will on average offer a 9 basis point discount on current clean share classes.
Standard Life, who will not announce the fund groups it has made deals with, will publish all super clean share class terms in September and said it is working with the fund groups to get the new share classes on its platform as soon as possible.
The company said it is also continuing negotiations with other fund groups to secure the best terms for their funds.
David Tiller (pictured), head of adviser platforms at Standard Life, said: 'In April, we announced our intent to move to a rebate-free platform. We are already well advanced in our rolling programme to introduce clean share classes to our wrap platform and today’s announcement of the progress in our super-clean negotiations is another major milestone in this journey.'
Graham Dow, head of investment group relationships at Standard Life said: 'The top fund groups recognise the value of engaging with Standard Life and the advisers we work with. We have had a number of detailed discussions and shared our leading platform programme roadmap of platform developments.’
