Tenet backs Aifa's level five diploma
by Alex Steger on Sep 03, 2010 at 15:22
Support services provider Tenet has backed Aifa’s level five diploma.
Keith Richards (pictured), Tenet distribution & development director, pointed to the fact the Financial Services Authority had not proposed subsequent gap-filling for the qualification as a benefit of the qualification.
‘There is an exam to complete, but unlike other alternatives the DipIP doesn’t focus on a specified number of study hours, as this will vary greatly depending on an adviser’s experience,' he said.
‘Study materials have been specially designed to allow a flexible approach in terms of how, when and where a candidate can choose to study. And initial discussions indicate that it should be achievable for most IFAs within three to nine months.'
The Diploma in Investment Planning (DipIP) is offered by the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland (Ciobs) in association with Aifa and BPP Learning Media.
