Turcan Connell heads west with new Glasgow office
by Jun Merrett on Nov 22, 2012 at 09:46
Solicitor and financial planning firm Turcan Connell is in ‘expansion mode’ and has opened an office in Glasgow.
Turcan Connell executive director and head of financial planning Bob Hair (pictured) said the move was in response to demand from clients and professional connections.
‘It is something our clients have been suggesting to us, and other professional connections, law firms and accountancy practices, were saying there is a strong demand,’ he said.
‘While there is a number of people who would happily get the train to Edinburgh, a lot of people commute into Glasgow and want to see their lawyer, accountant and financial planner in Glasgow, so we thought we should set up a place and build it up.’
The office will be staffed by existing Turcan Connell lawyers and planners.
Hair said it was a new opportunity for the firm, which has its head office in Edinburgh and an office in London.
‘We’re very much in expansion mode with the opening of the new office. We see the legal practice and wealth management benefiting from growth in the west of Scotland as well as the east.’
